Brief

To create a sales incentivised game to run concurrently with the British Grand Prix.

Solution

Connections created a unique sales drive in the form of a national Sales Grand Prix, which enabled Blue Arrows' 130 branches to race against each other by logging their sales figures.

The game lasted for a period of 3 hours and was split into three 50 minute laps with 10 minute pit stops in between, in which branches were not allowed to update their sales figures.

Once the game started, branches were able to add their sales successes, which automatically updated their positioning in realtime on the scoreboard.

Positioning of the racers (branches) was based on a scoring matrix of sales made by each branch during each lap of the race, which was monitored by a lap counter system.

Commentary was delivered via a live news feed, which displayed scrolling news entered in realtime using a specially developed administration system.

The game was a great success and enjoyed by all participants, with the winning consultant being invited to a corporate race day.
